so once a year I head up to Red Lake, Ontario - for a Scrapbook weekend
We bring the store along (Don't worry we don't bring it all- so you are still able to shop here back at home:-)
And we offer a variety of classes - here are just a couple I am doing there this time around!

Burnished Velvet on your scrapbook pages

Butterfly Mini-album

Tim Holtz tags, summer mini-album, Cricut basics, Sew Easy on your scrapbook pages - and a few more!!  So the kits are pretty much ready, I am just working on some last minute instructions, and need to make sure I get some sleep and have a voice for all the talking I have to do for 3 days straight!!
It is always such a great time, just a couple more days and we are on our way...

I hope you feel inspired this weekend!

Mama-Razzi....

well I guess I kind of am - and here is proof as I was caught in the act!!

this layout has a little story...at the Fall Crop, I had walked by our beautiful "Wall of samples" Friday night many, many times. But then on Saturday morning, before anyone else had even arrived I took a closer look, just to admire all our designers great work...and then I saw this layout - I was shocked!  I was even brought to tears wondering who could have done it???  Well when Marilyn had arrived I asked her, she said my wonderful Mother-in-law Marlene had done it, and when Marilyn had seen it, she thought it was great and we needed to add it to the wall.  They wanted to see if I would notice - and I did. And my heart just smiled as this layout is really so me, I am not often in the photo, but can always be seen with a camera in hand.

I hope you feel inspired today!

Fun times in Brandon...

so the last weekend of my crazy month came and went.  I was in Brandon...in the snowstorm...to Crop the weekend away for a bunch of charities:-)  Sooo fun - also got to teach 2 classes.

Here are some pics of the weekend...
the girls creating their lovely artist trays!
my lovely partner in crime - my sister Jen...see the Timmys(secret to late night cropping!)
Our awesome Croppin' buddies, Kim & Shanley:-) Kim was annoyed at me for taking a pic on Sunday morning, the day she did not get all camera ready! Sorry!!
 all the croppers working hard!
me, being goofy - I worked on our last Disney trip ALL weekend!
people always ask me how I get organized...clearly I am not the person to talk to on this subject:-)
one of my favorite layouts from the weekend...it seriously looks amazing in person!

using the New Echo Park "Playground" line, soo fun!

Brandon raised over $2500 for local community charities with the Silent Auction alone!!! Way to go!  The prize I donated (a tonne of really great Tim Holtz stuff) was won by my sister!!! She said she was going to win it and she did, lucky girl!!

I got LOTS done, even though I forgot my ENTIRE scrapbook tote at home!  Yup, I showed up with some tools, cardstock and my pics of Disney (thank goodness) -so needless to say I did a little shopping at all the great stores on site:-)  I was very thankful I did not forget any class stuff, as that would have been the worst.

Had lots of fun.. hopefull we will see you next year in Brandon too!!

I hope you feel inspired!

sooo we survived!!!

the craziness of another event!!  Wow, what a busy couple of weeks!  I did that fundraising crop at the beginning of the month, then the next weeked I was at a ladies retreat at my church, sooo great! At the retreat I was able to do this great little project with a number of the women there!

well a version of this project, the ladies were all VERY creative and this Prayer journal was different and beautiful for each one of them, as they received various papers from Bo-Bunny's Gabrielle line to play with!
I got to play with my new toy...

LOVING the Cinch... I think the ladies liked it too!!

Then the week was spent packing up the store for the Creative Gathering!!!
Here are just a few pics of our event-

REFENS Fundraising Crop

last Saturday I helped out at a fund-raising crop in Transcona area, some of the ladies were new scrapper's so it was lots of fun to do a Make n' take project with them, and give them an opportunity to "Play".
We used border punches, distress inks, distress tools, and we used the the new Double dot paper by Bo-Bunny!  It was great to meet you ladies,  I hope you raised lots of money!!

here is what we made!

here are some of the border punches we used...Martha Stewart, Fiskars &  EK Success

and here is the fabulous Double Dot paper...
I wanted to attach 2 samples with photos...but they are packed away for the Creative Gathereing- so will have to post those another day!

I hope you feel inspired:-)

Creative Gathering time...

2 times a year, we put on our Creative Gathering event - an opportunity to crop and create for 140 women ( we we would accept men as well if any came:-)  We offer classes, we offer food, and we offer GREAT shopping!! We keep and release many new lines of product for our CG ladies to take advantage of first - before it goes into the store. So in turn, we need to have many great samples of all the newest releases - so needless to say, blogging takes a back seat to creating and planning for this event... here are a few sneak peeks of some creations:-)

after the CG I will post full projects....or you can come and shop at the 55Plus on Friday, April 15th from 5pm-9pm and Sat, April 16th from 10am-4pm, and see everything for yourself:-)

I hope you feel inspired!
